Slogging through yet another Brandon Sanderson novel only because my son asked me to read it. Sanderson is prolific, occasionally innovative, and has done good things for the writing community, but can’t write a compelling human being to save his life. Elantris was his first commercial success, and not much has changed in his writing style since it was released.
